Description
SAIC is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven individual with a background in Information technology. This hands-on position will be responsible for partnering with other service providers and team members to ensure that appropriate IT solutions are delivered to meet the business needs of the customer. Perform the daily activities of configuration and operation of Windows systems. Perform the optimizing of system operation and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning. Provide assistance to users in accessing and using business systems. The candidate may be involved in designing, planning and integrating cloud computing.
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or related experience and 2+ years of experience in supporting web servers.
- Must possess competencies in Microsoft Windows IIS, installation, service design, and support in an environment that uses Microsoft Windows Server 2016, SQL Server.
- Must possess problem-solving skills as they relate to analysis, troubleshooting, and isolation of issues
- Experience with production data centers.
- Experience with automation / configuration management tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- · Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be available to participate in on-call work on a reoccurring basis.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- AWS Cloud experience
- Experience with PowerShell scripting
- Experience configuring and supporting SharePoint environments
- Experience supporting Active Directory
- Experience working with SQL Server Data stores
- Experience with DevOps
- Experience with Puppet and Terraform.
- Experience with storage systems including SAN, NAS and VSAN.
- Any of the following IT certifications are also desirable for this position: MCP, CompTIA A+ / Network+ / Security+, AWS
Target salary range: $50,001 - $75,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
