Job Details:

This position is responsible for setting up the Whole Bird line and getting it ready for production. Responsible for watching production lines and communicating with lead about line speed and backup issues.

Schedule: 1st shift (Monday - Friday)

Pay rate: $16.20/hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

• Capable of following and executing the daily plan
• Understand the basic controls of the Multivac, Digi and Ravenwood
• Capable of film and label changes in a timely manner
• Monitor stretching routine to report non-compliances
• Keep a consistent flow of product throughout the entire line
• Be a mentor for people new to the position on the line
• Assist in areas when available
• All other duties that are assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail
• Ability to wear, use and maintain personal protective equipment
• Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 6 months of production experience preferred

Communication Skills:

• Ability to take direction and learn by observing others
• Ability to communicate effectively with or without interpretive assistance

Physical Requirements / Environment:

• Stand/Walk: Continuously (8 hours)
• Grasp: Continuously (3-5 pounds - fallen birds)
• Lift/Carry: Frequently (3-5 pounds - fallen birds)
• Push/Pull: Frequently (up to 20 lbs)
• Bend or squat: Frequently
• Environment: Continuously - Working around moving machinery, working in a cold, slippery and wet environment (below 40° F)
• Other Physical Requirements:
  • Occasionally; reach above shoulder (up to 2 ft.)
  • Occasionally; Climb (2 feet)
