Job Description

  • Coordinating and hosting meetings internally, with clients, and with external stakeholders
  • Perform data analyses utilizing Microsoft Excel or other data analysis software in order to influence sampling program (e.g., frequency, location), and to draw broader conclusions on the meaning of data as it relates to disease patterns and public health
  • Advocate for modifications to experimental design and monitor for how these changes are impactful
  • Generate communications and present relevant data in meaningful ways to various parties, including through formal and informal presentations, memos, case studies, papers, and more
  • Contribute as needed to ongoing R&D projects and standardization of testing methods
  • Conduct literature reviews and stay up to date on the latest knowledge related to wastewater epidemiology
  • Contribute to project management from a technical/scientific perspective to help drive the project forward and ensure it's success

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate would possess:
  • Previous experience with wastewater based epidemiology (WBE), including planning, monitoring, and modifying sampling plans and developing standardized testing and sampling protocols
  • Technical understanding of the scientific information related to latest and most effective testing methods
  • Knowledge of the environmental testing or wastewater testing industry, including having contacts in the field
  • Microsoft Excel and other data analysis software experience and experience using these to influence testing program as well as draw conclusions related to public health and epidemiology
  • Microsoft Teams and other virtual platform experience
  • Experience with developing content and communicating with relevant stakeholders and tailoring information to be appropriate for varying levels of understanding
  • Project management and planning experience, including organizing and coordinating international teams
  • Skills in listening; negotiating; convincing; communicating, and working with and leading a team
  • Understand, follow, and interpret company policy

Minimum Qualifications:
  • PhD preferred, but master's degree in environmental health or epidemiology, or other relevant education and experience with a deep understanding of experimental design would be considered
  • Ability to flex schedule to accommodate international calls as needed
  • Dedicated remote office space free from distraction
  • 2 years' experience in epidemiology or specialized public health research with a focus on analysis of patterns of disease
  • 1 year technical experience with wastewater testing or oversight of a wastewater testing program
  • Deep proficiency with Microsoft Excel to analyze and present complex data, including the use of pivot tables
  • Strong Proficiency with all Microsoft Office Tools: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and on-line platform tools
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
