VCA Portsmouth Animal Hospital is hiring an Experienced Client Service Representative to join our team.

About Us

Our 2-doctor veterinary practice offers Primary Care, Illness Care, Surgery, Dentistry, and more. Our patients include dogs, cats, and exotic species.

We are open Monday, Thursday & Friday 8am -5pm, Tuesday 8am - 7pm, Wednesday & Saturday 8am -1pm, closed Sundays.

About the Role

As the face of VCA Portsmouth, the CSR sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
• Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control)
• Hospital maintenance and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times-both inside and outside
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence

Compensation for this role starts at $15/hour, based on experience. Veterinary experience is preferred.
