Veterinary Assistant

At VCA Tri City Animal Hospital and Acacia Cat Hospital in Tempe, Arizona, we help pets live long, healthy and happy lives. We deliver the best medical care for pets and the best experience for pet owners. We have been AAHA accredited since 1978 and are a Cat Friendly Certified Hospital. We are seeking a personable and experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care - with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen. In this position you will be supporting our doctors by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include:

  • Obtaining histories and vital signs for patients
  • Client communication and education
  • Maintaining medical records
  • Filling prescriptions
  • Performing diagnostic imaging and laboratory work
  • Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients

Pay range from $16-$19/hr, depending on experience. Full time, 8 hour shifts, 5 days per week. Some weekend days required.
