Vendor Management Analyst (Financial Services)

What You'll Do: In partnership with IT and business leadership, you will be responsible for administering the end-to-end vendor management process for our Life Company vendor partners. You will facilitate the evaluation and selection of life vendors and software as well as negotiate competitive pricing, appropriate pricing structures, and aggressive business terms in the purchase of contracts. This is a pivotal role for our organization as you will be the main liaison between IT, Life Company, and our vendors. Other key responsibilities will include:

  •  Tracking vendor performance to facilitate best decisions on new contracts and renewals, managing life pricing and performance disputes, and reviewing work orders and other service agreements.
  •  Assist in administrating life systems procurement strategies to optimize spend and operate vendor management activities within the allocated budget.
  •  Collaborating with all levels within the Company to help navigate the vendor management life cycle.
  •  Actively monitor contract renewals for vendors by partnering with contract owners to ensure timely signings and negotiations of contract terms are taking place.
  •  Retain copies of all contracts, master service agreements, statements of work, and NDA's.
  •  Provide regular reporting on the vendor inventory from a risk perspective (financial, data risk and business continuity) as requested by Expense Committee and senior leadership.
  •  Assist in management of the relationship with external negotiators, track their projects, expenses, and prepare invoices and statements of work (as necessary) for them.
  •  Responds to audit requests related to vendor and contract management.

What It Takes to Join Our Team:

  •  College degree or equivalent plus at least four years related work experience required.
  •  Must have the ability to quickly switch between requests and handle multiple, complex assignments with attention to detail and accuracy.
  •  Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to meet target dates/time deadlines.
  •  Strong analytical/problem solving skills are required.
  •  Sound negotiation skills are required.
  •  Must have a strong understanding of legal and contractual terms used in vendor contracts.
  •  Oral and written communication skills as appropriate to this position.
  •  Limited travel is required.
