US Real Estate Insurance Associate - BlackRock Inc.

Real Assets is one of BlackRock's core alternative strategies and includes infrastructure and real estate. Examples of real estate assets include offices, residential land, apartments, student housing, industrial, garden centers, retail and mixed use; examples of infrastructure assets include power, renewables, energy, transport and social infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

The US Real Estate Insurance associate will report to the Director and Global Head of Real Assets Insurance located in the New York corporate headquarters and will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Assist Director with US Real Estate exposure.
  • Field day to day questions from internal and external parties regarding the insurance program, process, etc.
  • Insurance Placement - Work with insurance broker, property/asset managers and internal acquisition teams to obtain information needed to quote insurance and see process through to bind.
  • Track, pursue, and account for premium payments and adjustments.
  • Preparation and coordination of information for insurance policy renewals with Director.
  • Track, maintain and prepare reports on policy information in the risk management information system.
  • Assist with claims submission and claims tracking for larger groups.
  • Review of contracts, property leases and management agreements.
  • Special projects as assigned by Director or others.

Qualifications:
  • At least 5-to-10-year exposure in the insurance industry. Salary will commiserate with experience.
  • Real Estate experience required
  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred
