Position Summary:
This position is responsible for all aspects of the freight for multiple locations within National Pipe and Plastics.
Responsibilities:
• Schedule freight to be picked up and delivered
• Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
• Providing shipping and delivery details to customers
• Negotiating rates and delivery time lines to meet company goals and metrics
• Building partnerships with carrier representatives
• Document all times for pickups and deliveries
• Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication
• Handling customer complaints and inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels if needed
• Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions
• Making special shipping arrangements as necessary
• Tracking and fixing shipping errors
• Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards
• Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized

Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent in academic background and experience or training, preferred
• Previous office experience required at least 1 year preferred
• Knowledge of general office procedures and equipment
• Detail oriented with a dedication to continuous improvement and team building
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Ability to work with other company administrative, production, and technical personnel at all levels to achieve plant and corporate goals
• Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
