Title: Temporary- Adult Education Student Liaison (Pool)

Job Summary:

This position provides a variety of staff support duties to sustain the effective operations of the Adult Education Program. The position also interacts with and provides instructional and registration/intake-related services and support for potential and current students and faculty on a daily basis.

Job Duties

Assists with student counseling, orientation and assessments (TABE, CASAS, etc.) at designated locations. Assists with scheduling, proctoring, and scoring State-required tests and recommends student placement. Organizes and maintains program and student files as directed as well as report documentation for the Program. Assists with the preparation of State and local reports - providing necessary information. Provides customer service through telephone coverage, responses to inquiries, and reception of walk-in students, faculty, and guests. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED/HiSET.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in an adult education environment. Experience in the proctoring and scoring of assessments and communication with students and faculty regarding results. Experience in the support or delivery of presentations for informational purposes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Microsoft office skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Strong oral and written communication skills. Evidence of interpersonal skills and maturity. Organizational and analytical skills and ability to meet deadlines. Skill in operating general office equipment.

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
