External Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager-South Bay/Peninsula

Join our client as the External Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager, where you'll take the lead on all external financial reporting responsibilities, ensuring compliance with new accounting standards and overseeing audits.

Your key duties will include:

- Managing the preparation and coordination of internal and external reporting packages on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

- Overseeing the financial statement audit process and liaising with external audit teams.

- Researching and documenting technical accounting transactions, collaborating with auditors to resolve accounting matters promptly.

- Serving as a US GAAP expert and staying updated on reporting requirements.

- Conducting in-depth research on complex transactions and new accounting pronouncements.

- Establishing and communicating accounting policy positions and procedures to the Finance and Accounting teams.

- Evaluating business transactions for proper US GAAP treatment and preparing technical memorandums for significant or non-routine transactions.

- Supporting financial due diligence and integration efforts for M&A transactions.

- Reviewing accounting entries and reconciliations for various transactions including stock-based compensation and investments.

- Assisting with month-end close processes and financial statement reviews.

- Undertaking ad hoc projects, analyses, and reporting as directed by management.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.

- Big 4

- Minimum 3 years of Technical Accounting experience.

- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to collaborate across functions.

- 5+ years of overall work experience with at least 4 years in public accounting.

- Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and demonstrated expertise in handling complex accounting matters.

- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines without compromising quality.

- Exceptional organizational and project management abilities, capable of managing multiple assignments simultaneously.

- High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey recommendations clearly and promptly.

Salary: $150-$200k Annual
