Overview

Falconwood is a woman-owned / veteran-owned company providing consultation and programmatic support to Department of Defense (DoD) Information Technology (IT) initiatives and programs. We provide expert advice and consultation on a diverse range of IT subjects, focusing on acquisition, cybersecurity, engineering, logistics, and process development.

Our engineers support clients by developing system architectures, designs, and other artifacts and using digital modeling techniques within Agile development environments.
Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Engineers and Architecture teams to develop processes, systems, and data models that visually depict a detailed sequence of business activities and information flows needed to complete a process.
  • Model requirements and interactions of systems.
  • Establish verification and validation controls within a modeling tool, such as Cameo System Modeler, to ensure that the design meets requirements.
  • Support the development of processes, systems, and data models for a system integration efforts.
  • Develop and use digital modeling techniques, to include the enterprise architecture, in DoDAF 2.02 and Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) format.
  • Assist with and support systems engineering technical reviews to assess conformance of products and technical processes to technical requirements and policy during all phases of system design, development, testing, production, and sustainment with Program members, stakeholders, external technical authorities, and subject matter experts.
  • Prepare for and participate in review teams with Government personnel, other contractors and systems integrators for program strategies, integrated schedules, test plans, and deployment planning.
  • Review program, project, and planning documentation for technical compliance with appropriate compliance action lists, policy, requirements, standards, and processes.
  • Evaluate program, project or system technical risks; assist with mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare well-written, detailed systems engineering documentation including analyses, white papers, presentations, etc.
Qualifications

Required:
  • Minimum Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, systems engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years' experience systems engineering expertise in enterprise level environments, to include DoDAF and Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN)
  • Experience implementing systems engineering technical and management processes such as requirements engineering, architecture development, interface management, test and evaluation (T&E), decision analysis and transition to production
  • Skilled in Agile methods/concepts
  • Experience in DevSecOps concepts
  • Familiarity with modeling systems such as IBM System Architect and Cameo MagicDraw
  • Knowledge and understanding of enterprise systems and services technologies to include large scale systems and OS, software and applications, AD, SAN/WAN technologies, Windows Server environments, Server Virtualization, Cloud Services
  • Skilled in project management and engineering technical management techniques, principles, and practices
  • Capable of communicating effectively to senior leaders, in-writing and verbally
  • Experience developing and presenting executive-level briefs, point papers, and white papers
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to quickly adapt and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to perform effectively individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to work with minimal oversight and meet deadlines

Preferred:
  • Master's degree in a related field with at least 10 years supporting a DoD network in a technical role as described above
  • Cloud certification(s)
  • Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE)
Pay Range

Base Pay $125,000 - $135,000, subject to skill level, qualifications, and location.
