Systems Analyst-HR, Payroll and Legal

Location:  Kohler, WI/Hybrid/Remote

Opportunity

Specific Job Content:  This individual will be responsible for providing functional and technical enterprise support for various platforms in the HR, Payroll and Legal Platforms. This role will primarily support system configuration, creation of functional specifications for internal and external system integrations within our HR/Payroll ecosystem. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders to analyze company needs and facilitate innovative solutions to fully utilize the platforms on an enterprise level. This role will be an analytical problem-solver with the ability to work in a fast-paced / high-pressure global environment. The ability to communicate effectively, using both technical and functional language when appropriate will be a key to success in this role. A deep understanding of testing and migrating system configurations from testing to production is required along with the ability to work independently as required. Experience with User Experience design and with integrating cloud solutions with on premise solutions a plus.  This individual needs to be capable of participating in multiple concurrent development projects and prioritize properly.  Operates under general direction.  Works with user management to determine system objectives and processes.  Latitude for independent actions and decisions.  Assist and/or be solely responsible to direct, schedule, and coordinate the technical activities of vendors and consultants.  Provide updates to appropriate team members/leaders.  Collaborate and drive developers' s progress.

General Objective:  Design, implement and maintain computer systems and programs to increase business effectiveness solving problems and create new opportunities to assist in achievement of business goals keeping overall user experience top of mind.  Prepare systems and program specifications, test criteria, project control and management reporting.  Develop and monitor policies, procedures, and standards documents.  Provide tier 2 on-call support of systems.  Operates under general direction.  Works with user management and user project leadership to determine system objectives and solutions and provide technical estimates for work effort.  Some latitude for independent actions and decisions.  Assist and/or be solely responsible to direct, schedule, motivate and coordinate the activities of IT, user and vendor personnel.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provide spirited positive leadership of systems projects.  Challenge obsolete practices, questionaccepted truths, and eliminate non-value-added processes.  Develop practical systems scope that enhancesthe business function keeping user experience top of mind.  Control the project scope, resources, andquality within budget and schedule to meet objectives.
  2. Provide analysis, counsel, and direction to management andpersonnel of operating units to analyze problems and develop solutions, as wellas assure efficient operation of existing systems.  Maintain an understanding of businessprocesses and the implications of computer systems on these processes.
  3. Direct, schedule, coordinate, and evaluate the efforts ofinformation systems, user and vendor personnel assigned to a specific systemsproject.
  4. Prepare and conduct project review meetings and managementpresentations including general design review, project scheduling, test plan,system and program tactics and methods, system controls, procedures, systemsdocumentation, and system implementation plan.
    Prepare and publish systems project status reports.  Comply with systems development methodology,standards, procedures, guidelines, priorities, and schedules.
  5. Develop high-level system specifications and detailedtechnical specifications for the development team.  Assist in developing system documentation.  Advise on user procedures.  Assist in the preparation of general test plan.
  6. Coordinate system tests.
  7. Participate in educational programs and professionalsocieties involving supervisory skills, computing technology and systemsmethodologies.  Seek ways to expandbusiness knowledge.
  8. Champion software and process standards.  Develop, evaluate and provide direction forthe implementation and maintenance of computer systems that adhere to industryand Kohler standards. 
  9. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills/Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology preferred
  2. 1+ years as a system analyst experience in HR, Payroll or Legal systems
