Provide direction and monitoring of workflow to meet deadlines and assure departmental coverage Develop departmental policies/procedures and maintains these in written format Provide feedback to employees via PD&R process, daily feedback, corrective actions and mentoring Knowledge of all area of histology and cytology support functions and able to perform proficiently as needed Identify and resolve all employee/client issuesResponsible for scheduling of time off/breaks/lunches May supervise transcription area Demonstrate and convey an understanding of the compliance policies relating to test ordering, test reporting, add-on tests, TIQ/TNRP, reflex tests and custom panels Responsible for orientation and training of newly hired employees Able to perform all AP Support Specialist, AP Resolution Specialist and other support functions, as needed All other duties as assigned
High School Education or equivalent; A. S. degree preferred Strong knowledge of basic computer functions and Quest LIS Strong problem solving and leadership skills Excellent organizational, collaborative and verbal/written communication skills Ability to work in a laboratory environment Must have a thorough knowledge of client services, TIQ/TNRP, cytology and histology support functions Knowledge of medical terminology 3-6 years related experience
