Members of Sargent’s Supply Chain Early Career Program are negotiators, strategists, planners, and united by a shared passion for creating a competitive advantage by showing a complete disregard for roadblocks and attacking challenges head on. Sargent’s Supply Chain Early Career Program members are part of the next generation of Sargent’s supply chain organization who will eventually become responsible for providing Sargent an ensured continuity of supply and playing a key role in Sargent’s mission of making the challenging a reality.

Sargent’s Early Careers program is a two-year program consisting of three rotational assignments in key Supply Chain related roles. Early Career Program team members will also undertake a cross-functional, mission-based project, allowing each team member to come away with a unique set of experiences, relationships with Sargent team members, and the opportunity to build leadership, functional, and project management skills.

As part of our Early Careers Program, you will be responsible for:
  • Working on three diverse assignments in manufacturing: sourcing, Production Planning, and Production Control
  • Participating in structured career development, receiving coaching and mentoring and on-the job-learning to create opportunities for career acceleration
  • Attending supply-chain training curriculum, including Lean Manufacturing & APICS training
  • Networking cross-functionally, leading program initiatives or projects with peers and interacting with business leaders
  • Solving critical business challenges through cross-functional, mission-based teams
To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or related area of study from an accredited 4-year university
  • Demonstrate a passion for supply chain and manufacturing operations
  • Be a quick learner who is able to adapt to different situations and embrace change
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team or independently
  • Be able to communicate, collaborate and build trusted relationships with people, regardless of organizational title, both within and outside of Sargent.
  • Resilient, resourceful, socially mobile and willing to travel, not afraid to establish new networks and step outside of your comfort zone.
  • Be fluent in English (oral and written) and have effective communication skills
  • Be a US Citizen
