The Strategy Associate 2- UHealth provides analytical support for strategy/strategic planning initiatives. The Strategy Associate 2- UHealth plays a role in helping to define the future of UHealth and drives critical business initiatives through analysis and communication of data. The Strategy Associate 2- UHealth gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function, occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. This role participates in idea generation, project management, business planning, and financial modeling. This incumbent also provides recommendations to drive business results with data-based insights and influences a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams.

Assists in the development and maintains a deep understanding of strategic issues facing UHealth through analyzing trends, horizon scanning and building relationships with colleagues across the organization. Interacts with all levels of the organization ensuring a positive image is conveyed to internal UM Health and external partners and stakeholders. Promotes the development of strategic objectives and associated metrics to allow a 'strategic view' of organizational progress Assists in the management of multiple projects. Manipulates, and analyzes large and complex financial, operational and strategic data sets and data sources. Analyzes and synthesizes data accurately and interprets and presents in understandable and actionable format. Undertakes quantitative and qualitative assessments, and conducts primary research as appropriate, to support the development of evidence-based strategy. Uses internal and external software applications, and other strategy related tools to gather, extract and high-level data. Supports, leads, and influences the formulation and delivery of strategic projects and initiatives across UHealth. Prepares project design and analytics approach to work for review and input by strategy leadership. Assists in the management of multiple work streams/projects efficiently. Synthesizes analytics and key insights into presentation-ready pages/documents. Develops presentations. Presents findings to strategy team and provides guidance assistance in developing presentation that will be presented to large audiences, including UHealth's executive leadership team. Demonstrates high emotional intelligence with deftness in navigating complex organizations with multiple stake holders Contributes to team's work and culture, supporting colleagues and playing a vocal part in team meetings Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes:

  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
  • Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data
  • Proficiency in computer software (i.e., Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment
