RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Staff Accountant in New York City, New York (NY).Summary:The client offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes generous paid time off and the ability to participate in medical coverage and 401(k) plan on your very first day.   • Assist with month-end general ledger close process and reporting
  • Perform bank reporting
  • Staff Accountant will maintain reconciliation of general ledger accounts and aged item process
  • Preparation of financial statement footnotes and management reports
  • Prepare certain monthly and quarterly regulatory reports filed with various Federal Regulators including Call Report, FR-Y9, FR 2900, FR 2644
  • Upkeep of Accounting manual
  • Research accounting topics


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1-3+ years of accounting experience in banking
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Filings with various Regulatory agencies preferred, particularly Call Report and FR-Y9
  • Knowledge of general ledger systems, including preparation and approval of GL entries, month-end close process and results analysis
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and communication skills


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
