Job Summary:

Responsible for leading and providing oversight to the development of user interfaces according to specification which may include partnering with customers and internal departments, developing mockups, and ensuring user interface is functioning across multiple devices and browsers; lead the development of rich user interfaces and graphical front-end components ensuring the overall design or concept is not compromised; responsible for testing user interfaces to ensure web pages are fully functional and designed to customer specification and provide feedback to necessary internal teams; analyze and review customer user interface requirements and ensuring to gather necessary information from stakeholders and develop a project plan to execute requests. Provide input on the development of persona's, customer journey mapping, requirements, design system, user interfaces, wireframes and user testing partnering with customers and internal departments.

Essential Duties:

Advanced User Experience Development Functions - Responsible for leading and providing oversight to the development of user interfaces according to specification which may include partnering with customers and internal departments, developing mockups, and ensuring user interface is functioning across multiple devices and browsers while adhering to corporate and department policies and procedures

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for internal teams (e.g., Marketing, Product Development, etc.) relating to the development of effective and user-friendly mockups and wireframes ensuring to adhere to customer requests and provide additional recommendations to best achieve the desired outcome
  • Lead the development of rich user interfaces and graphical front-end components ensuring the overall design or concept is not compromised
  • Responsible for the leading team projects and prioritizing requests ensuring customer deadlines and expectations are maintained
  • Analyze and review customer user interface requirements and ensuring to gather necessary information from stakeholders and develop a project plan to execute requests
  • Act as a departmental resource for new projects or initiatives during conceptualization and fact
  • finding stages ensuring to advise on best practices


  • Lead customer meetings to obtain relevant user interface information and answer questions regarding interface capabilities
  • Oversee the support of existing internal applications and websites ensuring to resolve any front-end development issues in an accurate and timely manner
  • Lead the development of application front ends using frameworks (e.g., jQuery, bootstrap, foundation etc.) or hand-coded HTML5 and CSS as needed to meet design of User Interfaces
  • Ensure customer websites can be accessed on multiple devices and browser with a consistent user interface and functionality
  • Partner with back end development team to troubleshoot any errors and make changes if necessary
  • Responsible for testing user interfaces to ensure web pages are fully functional and designed to customer specification and provide feedback to necessary internal teams
  • Document customer changes, specifications, and special requirements ensuring accuracy
  • Partner with internal Quality Assurance teams to ensure websites are continually functioning properly and provide detailed specifications of client requirements
  • Participate in customer demos to obtain feedback and edit webpages if necessary
  • Provide the co-workers with support as well as identifying necessary improvements and Enhancements in departmental workflow
  • Support the assigned team with complex day-to-day decisions as well as escalating any issues outside their control to management
  • Responsible for the review and approval of all user interfaces projects prior to implementation ensuring to review team assignments for quality and coding discrepancies
  • Identify procedures and policy enhancements designed to streamline and improve overall efficiency existing user experience processes
  • Continually keep up to date on assigned business unit products and services in order to provide quality user interface concepts and mockups


Employee and Personal Leadership Development - Coach, develop, and mentor subordinates to achieve quality performance while continuing to develop personal management skill necessary to lead staff and handle unique management challenges
  • Promote employee development by establishing performance measures that encourage employees to excel
  • Continually assess personal management skills determining strengths and developing a plan to address areas for growth
  • Participate in the development of strategies to find optimal solutions to compensate, attract, and retain the talent necessary to achieve established goals and objectives
  • Assist staff with establishing and attaining career development goals
  • Ensure that employee training is effectively conducted for all positions throughout assigned area of responsibility
  • Conduct appraisals and performance reviews
  • For staff located within the United States ensure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action (EEO /AA) guidelines Comply with individual country employment laws and regulations based on location of staff


  • Review and recommend suggestions to management when updates to job descriptions are required as responsibilities change

Team Interface/Customer Service - Establish and maintain a professional relationship with internal/external customers, team members and department contacts
  • Cooperate with team members to meet goals or complete tasks
  • Provide quality customer service that exceeds customer expectations and improves level of service being provided
  • Treat all internal/external customers, team members and department contacts with dignity/respect
  • Escalate to supervisor any situation outside the employee's control that could adversely impact the services being provided

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field is required
  • Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in user interface design and website development is required
  • Minimum 1 year of lead or supervisory experience preferred

Technical Knowledge
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with cross browser emulation tools, (e.g., UX pin, etc.) is required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with Agile Development and/or Waterfall Methodologies is required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with framework (e.g., JavaScript, Bootstrap, JQuery, HTML5, C# etc.) is required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with source code tools (e.g., IDE, etc.) is required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with content management systems is preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with ASP.NET is preferred

Other
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel required
  • Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Envision, Figma or equivalent prototyping & design tools
