Meet the team:

Global Product Design (GPD) at Dexcom is a multi-disciplinary team of UX/UI, content, industrial design and design operations professionals dedicated to building products that support glycemic wellness. We collaborate closely with Product Management and Engineering to create highly usable, beautiful products that impact millions of people around the globe. We are passionate about quality, usability, and simplicity. The Design Operations team within GPD has recently been established and this role will be a foundational element of our success.

Where you come in:

  • You partner with the Director of Design Operations to develop scalable processes to drive efficiency across the Data Solutions and Insulin Therapy teams and the broader organization.
  • You will team up with Design Leaders to support several teams focusing on specific areas of our product family.
  • You support organizational initiatives like implementing a design system and supporting the transition to Figma.
  • You excel at defining short, medium and long term resource and planning milestones for a design team.
  • Key activities include establishing and maintaining internal processes, managing project scope, overseeing schedules and ensuring that your designers can focus on the most impactful initiatives to deliver on business goals.
  • You will create productive partnerships with product management, user research and engineering to create innovative solutions across multiple workstreams.
  • Your expertise in establishing new tools and systems will drive the change needed to scale GPD to meet growing business needs including documenting design decisions, UX artifacts and deliverables.
  • Your innate desire is to remove obstacles, provide direction internally and to stakeholders and ultimately align cross-functionally across the organization through all stages of the design development cycle.

  • You bring deep experience successfully shipping software/hardware products through Product Design teams.
  • Your written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are a superpower.
  • You bring proven skills in successful program management in highly matrixed situations, directing initiatives across multiple teams and managers.
  • You demonstrate understanding of cross-platform thinking and best practices on mobile platforms.
  • You excel at anticipating issues, driving proactive and collaborative solutions, and balancing business needs versus other constraints.
  • You are self-driven and have the ability to create a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • You bring experience developing scalable process improvements that maximize talent allocation and achieve high-level business objectives.
  • You have experience with Figma, Jira, Confluence and project management software.
  • Design System implementation and management is a plus.

Travel Required:
  • 15 - 25%

Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 13+ years of related experience.
  • At this level a graduate degree may be expected with 6 years of related experience.

Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distanve of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.
