Senior Reliability Engineer

Position Overview
Defines end to end program level outcomes and designs processes and the means to ensure quality of program outcomes. Leads/defines/tailors/audits DFR work with NPD teams/enterprise including FMEAS. Skilled in application of the Reliability Engineering body of knowledge (BOK). Leads tactical execution of reliability deliverables. Who are you and the experience you bring
Continually improves Reliability Engineering policies, standards, and procedures per best practices for effective, efficient, scalable results for the growing, multi-technology Hypertherm organization. This includes compliance to ISO9001 requirements, documentation, internal audits, equipment/gauge calibration, and reliability product verification activity. Sponsors/leads FMEA, FTA, Hazard Analysis, and system safety assessments within New Product Development, sustaining engineering, and field defect programs, leading root cause correction as needed. Comfortable with hands-on & analytic reliability work. Regular leading, teaching, mentoring/expertise in tools and methods. Highly competent in Design for Reliability (DFR) practices, experimental design, and data analysis. Provides reporting and recommendations to all levels of organization.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
• Bachelors in STEM with 10+ years of quality or reliability experience.
• Proven ability to impact and influence multiple business teams with conflicting priorities and utilize problem solving techniques to meet business objectives.
• Experience mentoring/training the engineering community on complex technical issues.
• Knowledge of problem-solving and continuous improvement techniques including Lean/Six Sigma.
• Proficient in industry Reliability/Quality/Statistical/Data software tools (Minitab, SQL, Weibull, etc.).

• Ability to identify key project risks and design test infrastructure and protocols to test for key risks.

• Understand and integrate end users' needs and expectations to improve products, services, and processes.

• Be open to new and better ways to test our products' reliability and robustness

• Analyzes relationships among several parts, anticipates obstacles, and develops contingency plans

• Uses several analytical techniques to break complex problems into component parts
• Utilizes and develops relationships to receive voice of the customer input and feedback with the regional and global departments

• Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally if needed

Preferred experience that differentiates you:
• Experience in a related industry (welding, plasma cutting, laser, power supply) desired
• Black Belt Certification, ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.

$98,383.00-$163,972.00 AnnualThis is the base pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire.
Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors.
