Your Role:

TheSenior Program Manager, Competitive Intelligencewill act as a key leader of competitive intelligence and industry research. As part of the Strategy Analytics & Intelligence team in Bioprocessing, you will contribute external industry perspective and insights which will advise our Bioprocessing business' strategic priorities and help us compete in the marketplace. TheSenior Program Manager, Competitive Intelligencewill bring their own ideas to improve upon and further enhance our competitive intelligence capabilities, identifying new, valuable analysis, and seeking to further engage our partners with relevant, timely and impactful information. You will support in the development and execution of robust competitive response strategies to minimize competitive disruption and to help assure that we achieve our business goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively mine external sources and internal information to uncover trends, emerging threats, and opportunities for the business.
• Serve as a central resource to gather and compile intelligence on competitors, including product portfolios, commercial strategies, financials, pricing, and regional strategies.
• Gather and analyze relevant data to determine likely course of action that competitors will take, and develop and execute robust competitive response strategies in collaboration with marketing and product franchise leaders.
• Assist in planning and conducting war gaming/strategy sessions with cross functional groups to anticipate competitive activity and respond to changes in key market conditions.
• Establish strong, effective relationships with critical business functions (eg. Product Marketing, Business Development, Regional Business Leaders, Strategy peers, etc.) and vendors.
• Partner with global internal stakeholders to share knowledge and insights, including but not limited to product managers, commercial partners, strategy peers to gather intel and position MilliporeSigma-BioProcessing for success.
• ~10% travel required.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years experience in competitive and market intelligence, analysis, and research.
• Demonstrated experience in analyzing quantitative and qualitative data and communicating insights.
• Proven ability to research and analyze complex markets, products and competitors and translate that information into actionable intelligence.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters or MBA preferred.
• Experience working in the Life Sciences/BioProcessing industry and competitive dynamics.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong presentation skills, ability to create and present visually with storytelling and data visualization is highly preferred.
• Strong sense of accountability and proven record of translating and articulating complex concepts into clear concise messages.
• Strong ability to partner, support multiple product/business stakeholders, and work towards achieving a collaborative environment.
• A spirit of continuous improvement to evolve existing processes and deliverables.
