Overview

Intrepid Solutions is currently supporting the National Air & Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) providing IT support services. Within these support services there are specific needs in network documentation. Intrepid is looking for qualified Senior Network Drafter. A qualified Senior Network Drafter candidate will be able to meet the requirements, and perform the duties, outlined below:
Responsibilities

• Provide weekly status reports upon request that details all documents created, reviewed, in-progress, maintained, updated, and archived.
• Document data flows of all data coming in and out of system. Data flows shall include source, destination, types of data, sizes, mission area, customers, etc.
• Document revision control labeling that is consistent with existing customer documentation.
• Ensure consistent labeling and keys are represented in documentation.
• Document network diagrams, wiring diagrams, network topologies, and rack elevations with appropriate layering to all allow quick access.
• Document the host's name, its IP address(es), and role (e.g. DNS, DHCP, mail server, etc.), hardware components for servers (e.g. GPUs), make, model, serialnumber, asset tag, location (room, rack, etc.).
• Record mission-critical applications/services, configuration of network services (DNS, DHCP, NFS, Web, etc.), OS, disk layout, server criticality (critical, essential, other, etc.).
• Record circuits connected to network infrastructure. Documentation shall include circuit type, circuit ID, bandwidth, WAN type, termination equipment, who ownsthe circuit, contact information, any additional information pertinent to the circuit.
• Convert CAD network layers to DWG TrueView web compatible images.

OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS: This is a full time position, with standard operating hours Monday - Friday, within 0600-1800.

TRAVEL: Position does not require travel.

Qualifications

CLEARANCE: Active Top Secret / SCI and CI Polygraph **Minimum TS/SCI required upon application for initial consideration.***

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree. (e.g. information systems, computer science, math or engineering), desired.

CERTIFICATION(S):

• Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification (CompTIA Security+, e.g.), required.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum seven (7) years of recent and relevant experience in network documentation and CAD design, required.
• Experience with MS Visio and DWG TrueView, required.
• Have designed, documented, and created network documentation that includes network diagrams, rack elevations, flow diagrams, etc. using CAD software.
• Have an understanding of networks, storage, and data flows.
