Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.

The Senior Financial Analyst is a high performing, self-starter with strong work ethic. This role is responsible for general ledger accounting and financial reporting and analysis in relation to the monthly financial statement close process and the operating companies' financial statement review. Key deliverables include providing accurate, timely and relevant financial reporting and planning and forecasting support to Management. The Senior Financial Analyst is also a finance partner to Operations, IT, Legal, Sales, Treasury, and Corporate and Regional Accounting Teams.

Financial Reporting Essential Functions:

• Prepare and provide accurate and meaningful consolidated financial statements and reporting packages monthly.
• Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end close including preparation of variance analysis and communicate key issues and trends.
• Record monthly and quarterly journal entries to the consolidated results and communicate with Management and regional offices on the impact on the financial results.
• Provide balance sheet account reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations and other supporting schedules.
• Coordinate with Regions and Management companies to analyze and report accurate forecasts.
• Liaise between Treasury and subsidiaries to reconcile intercompany transactions and reconciliations and resolve differences.
• Analyze foreign currency and translation impact on consolidated results.
• Assist with the preparation of schedules required for quarterly consolidations and annual audit performed by external auditors.
• Special projects and analysis as assigned.

Other:

• Document and enforce corporate accounting policies and procedures.
• Communicate, research, and resolve subsidiary and regional inquiries related to US GAAP and company policy.
• Coordination of year-end audit with international subsidiaries and regional offices.
• Collaborate with IT on consolidation and reporting software updates and developments related to system upgrades, financial reporting, and required improvements.
• Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance.
• Support regions and subsidiaries on interface of local accounting system to consolidation software and address training needs.
• Propose process improvement solutions for system applications.
• Special projects and analysis as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA or CPA a plus
• 4-6 years of experience in Finance or Accounting preferably 3 years in a Financial Analyst role in a multi-national company
• Experience in global consolidations and working knowledge of US GAAP
• Understanding of Foreign Currency Translations
• Strong Excel skills required
• Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities utilizing strong analytical skills.
• Able to work efficiently with minimum supervision and within tight time constraints.
• Financial Systems such as Cognos Controller (or similar consolidation system), Cognos Planning or TM1, CargoWise One and JD Edwards preferred.
• Mergers & Acquisition experience a plus
• Bilingual is a plus

ENVIRONMENT:

100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Travel will be (up to 10%) required in support of the position's responsibilities. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and finger to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
