The Sr. Associate Production Scientist at MilliporeSigma in Sheboygan Falls, WI will manufacture and evaluate products according to established protocols, provide technical support to others and perform operations in support of the group and department.

Responsibilities:

include: Lead department in the absence of supervisorPerform multi-disciplined, established processes, assays, and unit operations, primarily those requiring a higher level of skill and knowledgeClean equipment and working areas during and after operationsComplete the volume of work required to acheive department goals and meet deadlinesContribute to support functions of the lab (e.g. maintain equipment, prepare reagents, restock lab supplies, waste disposal)Communicate the status of operations and bring deviations to the attention of supervisorProvide complete and accurate records consistent with quality guidelinesEnsure all applicable log books have been filled out completely as required by current proceduresInteract with other departments, as necessaryParticipate in quality auditsIdentify problems and limitations of analysisPerform routine troubleshootingReview final assays and proceduresInterface with external customersIn compliance with change control procedures, improve processes through application of scientific knowledge, experience, and principlesIdentify opportunities for process improvement and participate in process improvementsTake necessary actions to resolve any unsafe conditionsDevelop improvement ideas, review impact of changes and document all workTrain personnel and act as a technical consultant. Perform and interpret analytical evaluations of products and intermediates.Shift/Hours: 12 hour night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM - 2/2/3 schedule (M/T on, W/R off, F/S/S on, M/T off, W/R on, F/S/S off, repeat)

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering or other life science discipline2+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing or analytical lab environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced knowledge of chemistry and mathAnalytical techniquesCommunication skills - verbal and writtenAttention to detail and problem solving skillsMechanical aptitude and dexterityInstrumentation knowledgeKnowledge of current GMP practicesWorking knowledge of quality management systems including ISO-9001 and cGMP.1+ year of forklift experience
