Sr Assembly Associate - 3rd Shift

Position Purpose:

Assist Production Area Coordinator/Supervisor in ensuring orders are assembled and shipped in a timely manner, as well as assisting with job rotation and production flow. Assembler, package, and label components for pneumatic and electronic control systems.

Essential Functions:

Tasked with first level floor safety issues and cleanliness.

Willing to lead production associates when supervisor is not on the floor.

Act as a source of information for new employees.

Utilize KBM to optimize the production process.

Lead by example with regards to the Business unit Culture (Trust, Flow, Simplify, Focus, Empower, & Market Rate of Demand).

Assist with production quality audits.

Primary back-up for shipping/receiving operation.

Ensure KANBAN levels are maintained in the assembly work cells.

Cross train in all areas of manufacturing.

Assemble, package, and label components for pneumatic and electronic systems.

Education and Training

• HS diploma/GED required

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Internet ect.).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in shipping and receiving is helpful.
• KBM / AS400 experience a plus.
• Strong mechanical ability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little to no supervision.
• Knowledge of material flow and inventory control.
• Supervisory experience.

Physical Demands

• Person will need to be able to walk throughout plant and stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
• Lift no more than 50 lbs.
