Job Profile Summary

We are looking for a Java Developer to lead and assist development efforts on enterprise applications. This position will be full-time and remote.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and assist development efforts on enterprise applications
  • Understand client requirements and how they translate to new application features
  • Collaborate with development team and other IT peers to set specifications for new applications
  • Write high-quality Java and SQL code to program and complete on schedule
  • Update code libraries due to identified CVEs or outdated level of support and fix dependencies
  • Perform Unit and Integration testing before implementation
  • Assist with Functional and Non-Functional testing
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications and implement solutions
  • Help to maintain and develop Technical Documents and guides to accurately represent application design and code
  • Research and resolve production issues and end user support requests

What You'll Need

Required:
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Experience designing and building applications
  • 5+ years programming experience in Java
  • 3+ years programming web services and a working understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture
  • 5+ years relational database experience, DB2, Oracle, SQL Server
  • Experience with J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, JQuery, SOAP, and REST
  • Knowledge of Eclipse, Jenkins, SonarQube, Git, and JBOSS servers preferred but not required
  • Front-end development skills a plus but not required - JSF, AngularJS, Javascript/Typescript
  • A team player with good communication skills
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
  • Great attention to detail and time-management skills
  • BS/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with cloud application support is also a plus

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitors
