Software Design Engineer (HYBRID) (Candidates must be located in the San Jose, CA area or be willing to relocate as they must be onsite ~3 days per week)

We are looking for a Senior Software Design Engineer for Post Market Support to troubleshoot and root cause customer complaints as well as develop design recommendations to improve product safety, reliability, and/or performance.

What You Will Be Doing * Manage products and be accountable for ensuring quality and customer support

* Develop, test, and implement design changes

* Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers on implementation

* Lead regular software releases to tackle field defects and pain points

* Debug software and/or hardware defects

* Statistically trend post-market data to help solve technical issues

* Conduct Risk Assessments with marketed products and assess clinical risk to customers/patients

* Visits customer sites (~30%) to observe workflow, procedures, and products for quality investigation support

* Advocate for the customer by providing input to new product development

* Support Quality Systems initiatives and non-conformances

What You Need for this Position * BS in a related field (Electrical, Computer Science, Software, or Biomedical Engineering with a heavy focus on Software)

* 2+ years of experience in R&D, design assurance, usability, human factors, quality, systems, or field engineering

* Hands-on software design experience

* Root cause analysis/troubleshooting experience



* Familiarity with ISO/Medical Devices preferred
