Within our Marketing and Communications department, our Social Media Manager will report to the Director of Communications. The Social Media Manager is responsible for advancing the reputation and social media presence of InterSystems to help amplify the message of the company and its products to potential and current customers, partners, employees, media, and the community. He/she/they will be responsible for originating and managing the voice of the company through social channels and support the strategic objectives of the business and our employees.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage ideation, review, approval, publishing, and promotion of InterSystems blogs as the cornerstone of the company's social media strategy. Oversee drafting by third party writers with input from subject matter experts.
  • Manage the company's corporate social media channels (including current presences on LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook) with a special emphasis on audience acquisition and cultivating community via social media.
  • Manage vendors and tools to maintain and grow InterSystems social media presence.
  • Draft and manage creation of content for social channels in coordination with the other members of the corporate communications team, as well as global brand, product marketing, regional marketing and events, and other key constituencies within the company.
  • Coordinate efforts with Social Marketing manager to leverage social media as a sales engagement tool.
  • Serve as go-to expert on social media presence, including, but not limited to, regular trainings and one-on-one consultations with regional marketing teams and individual employees to establish and enhance profiles.
  • Collaborate with others to coordinate announcements across all available channels - media, internal and executive communications, events, etc.

  • 5-10+ years of experience managing and growing corporate B2B social media channels
  • Proven track record of advancing a company's mission through engaging, creative social media content in adherence with style and strategic guidelines
  • Familiarity with blog-centric social media marketing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent time management skills
  • Familiarity with best practices for social media marketing and commitment to continued learning
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superb attention to detail and editing skills
  • Dedication to working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic environment

  • Familiarity with social media and project management tools, including HootSuite,, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and others.
  • Background in healthcare, financial services, supply chain and logistics, or adjacent markets
  • Knowledge of technology sector
