Under the direction of the supervisor this individual will be responsible for performing various work in the stock room as well as shipping. The primary functions are:
- Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders, pulling materials, packing boxes, placing orders in delivery areas.
- Assist in maintaining packaging suppler by using Kanban system.
- Load/unload trucks as required
- Weigh/count product as it enters or leaves the factory; must be able to use electronic scales for weighing or counting product.
- Move material/product to and from appropriate areas
- Use labeling and packaging equipment, determine method of packaging per written specifications
- Clean and lubricate product as required
- Place and retrieve product from the finished stores area with efficiency and accuracy
- Select best method of shipment and handle special shipments such as air freight
- Must be able to use the system to transact items and generate appropriate paperwork
- Must be able to use a fork lift and pallet jack
- Will perform cycle counting or physical inventory and find product as required.
- Work areas must be kept clean and in an orderly condition and void of any safety hazards. Must report all unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
