Sewing Machine Operator I

Overview:

Responsible for supporting the Sublimation production team as needed with work order flow, through daily operation of commercial sewing machines; specific to development, construction, size specifications, and quality of Sublimation customer orders. Some additional responsibilities including assisting with daily improvement processes, efficiency SOPs, and vendor supply management.

Weekly Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Hourly rate starts at $14.00/hr

Responsibilities:

• Follow established standard operating procedures to complete construction of customer orders
• Ensure quality standards are maintained during production
• Confirm orders are accurate, for quantities, fabric type and size specifications
• Assist the Sublimation Team as needed
• Identify and communicate issues that may potentially create order delays
• Provide ideas and suggestions for improvement of processes; participate in efficiency evaluation as needed.
• Complete position specific training Matrix and engages in continuous development utilizing a development plan to further professional growth and effectiveness

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously and take initiative
• Must be detail orientated
• Ability to work effectively individually as well as part of a team
• Ability to make sound and reasonable decisions
• Ability to read a garment construction tech pack
• Ability to compute simple mathematical equations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Sewing machine experience
• Familiarity of Tech Pack reading
• Knowledgeable with patterns
• Apparel design knowledge
• Secondary language proficiency in Spanish
