Job Description
MV Transportation is seeking a Senior Vice President for the Southwest region of the US. This is a critical high-level management position within MV, and the primary job function is to manage and supervise revenue contracts in operating divisions within an assigned region. He/she must have experience in Safety, Financial, P&L Management, Contractual, and Customer/Client Relations as well meeting and exceeding Customer/Client satisfaction levels.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Achieve planned financial results for assigned region.
  • Responsible for regional P&L Management oversight for assigned region.
  • Must be able to meet/exceed client expectations for service delivery and customer satisfaction levels.
  • Provide general management training within assigned region as necessary.
  • Provide advice to general managers for continual operational improvement.
  • Meet and/or exceed corporate safety standards.
  • Meet and/or exceed client expectations for service delivery.
  • Must be energetic and be able to work with different skill sets of people:
    • Manage multiple direct reports.
    • Resolve overtime issues, labor challenges, local political changes and General Manager and staff recruiting selection and hiring.
Annual Budget: 40+MM key relationships
Peers: President, MV Transportation; RVPs, GMs, Clients, VP of Safety and VP of Maintenance for MV Problem Solving and Decision Making

Talent Requirements:
Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of contract oversight.
  • Five (5) years of direct General Manager oversight in public transit.
  • Must have experience with budgeting, forecasting, and direct oversight/management of regions P&L statements.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Fixed Route and Paratransit operations in a multi-location environment.
  • Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Budgeting, Contract Administration, Management Development, Client Management, and Public Relations.
Working Conditions
  • Primarily works in an office environment or home/field office. This is a remote field-based position.
  • Job requires the following physical activities: 75% travel to multiple locations within assigned region monthly.
