Responsibilities

How Will You Contribute to the Company?

Cradlepoint is seeking an experienced network engineer or technical trainer as a Senior Technical Instructor to help build and develop our technical training programs locally, regionally and worldwide. The candidate will have experience implementing and managing cloud networks, is passionate about sharing knowledge and possesses a strong "stage presence" to manage a classroom of adult learners.

In this position, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in training program strategy and development. You will serve as a subject matter expert and technical evangelist for Cradlepoint services in hands on instructor led training and labs for partners, staff and customers. You will seek to understand and assess training needs, design technical training materials, configure physical and virtual labs, facilitate training sessions, consult on real-world solutions in the context of an in person training, and help shape the direction of Cradlepoint Expert in person and virtual technical training. In this role, you will inspire people to think differently about how they approach, configure, and manage Cradlepoint networks and leverage the strength of the NetCloud service. You will be in a highly visible role at the forefront of cloud networking.

What Will You Do?

  • Participate in the delivery and design of hands-on labs and virtual workshops
  • Work collaboratively and independently to build highly scalable and compelling training labs
  • Innovate to provide live hands-on learning programs to support cross-functional initiatives
  • Deliver sessions, support, and troubleshooting with end users in lab activities
  • Deconstruct complex and emerging technologies for audiences of varying technical backgrounds
  • Build and maintain scalable physical and virtual labs
  • Participate in the support, administration, and reporting of live virtual technical sessions in the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Execute all logistics for sessions including logistics, student enrollments, pre-class communications, Teams meetings, lab setup, and verification
  • Perform training documentation management for the student environment including continuous improvement
  • Contribute to the quality review process for supporting online learning content
  • Additional duties as defined by the Manager of Learning Experience
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry certifications and experience
  • Five (5+) years of experience in a technical role (sales engineer, network/systems engineer, technical training, etc.)
  • Five (5+) years of experience with VPN and tunneling protocols (IPsec, GRE, SSL, etc), dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, etc), 802.11 WiFi, cellular 3G/4G technologies, Unified Threat Management (zone firewalls, IDS/IPS, web filtering, etc), WAN technologies (MPLS, MetroE, etc), and LAN switching optimal
  • Industry certifications desired to include: CCNP (R&S, Security, Wireless, Design), CCDP, VCP(X)-DCV, VCP(X)-NV, MCSA, MCSE, CMNA, MCSA, MCSE, JNCI(X), JNCD(X), or other industry/manufacturer certifications.
  • Comprehensive technical expertise in the areas of cloud networking, network, and systems engineering, and the wireless WAN
  • Familiarity with SD-WAN, mmWave, sub6, private networks, SDK/python, CLI, and leading-edge technologies
  • Experience with Cradlepoint technology, routers, endpoints and NetCloud Manager
  • Familiarity with branch, mobile, and IoT networks
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams and facilitating successful project outcomes
  • Articulate public speaking skills in front of diverse technical audiences
  • Experience with a variety of industry manufacturer's routers/firewalls
  • Previous experience providing in-person technical training, informal or formal
  • Ability to travel and conduct up to 10% facilitated training sessions if needed

Compensation and Benefits at Cradlepoint

At Cradlepoint, we know that our people are the key to our success. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package to help with your individual needs and goals.

Your Pay:

The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience. Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. This variable pay opportunity is dependent upon the attainment of agreed to goals and objectives as determined by Cradlepoint's Senior Leadership team. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

$86,450 - $156,400 / year

Cradlepoint provides generous paid time off, including: 15 days of Flexible Time Off (FTO), four paid quarterly well-being days, and 11 paid annual holidays (includes nine company holidays and up to two floating holidays). Please note that an employee's FTO balance and floating holidays may be prorated in the first year, based on start date. Cradlepoint also offers paid maternity-leave benefits and six weeks 100% paid family leave for all employees.
