Responsibilities

How Will You Contribute to the Company?

Cradlepoint has an immediate opening for a Senior Security Operations Analyst on our Security Operations team, which is a major component of our Global Information Security function. As a Senior Security Operations Analyst, you will work with other InfoSec team members, IT, and service providers to protect Cradlepoint from cyber threats. Information Security Analysts at Cradlepoint are responsible for triage, detection, and investigating potential security threats and handling them. Analysts are also involved in implementing and implementing various security measures as well as disaster recovery plans.

What Will You Do?

  • Monitor industry information technology and security trends and emerging threats
  • Operate and tune Perimeter Security, Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) / Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Endpoint Security, Anti-Virus/Malware, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and eDiscovery platforms
  • Assist with implementing the global strategic vision and execution of all technical aspects of Cradlepoint's Global Information Security
  • Assist Security Analysts with the operation of information systems security controls.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on relevant issues to Information Security leadership.
  • Work with IT and business teams to develop solutions that address root causes
  • Utilize existing tools and processes to extend coverage, increase effectiveness and expand capabilities.
  • Coordinate activities in support of information security priorities, including developing and implementing processes and procedures
  • Effectively identify, evaluate and communicate new and ongoing issues or areas of concern.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field and a minimum of four (4 ) years of relevant experience; Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Five (5+) years of progressive experience in information technology
  • Four to eight (4-8) years of practical information security experience
  • Demonstrated experience in working with a geographically dispersed team
  • A strong passion for learning
  • Can perform forensics and log analysis
  • Strong project management skills
  • Understanding of Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) and associated tactics
  • Strong knowledge of Cyber Kill Chain methodology, Mitre Attack Framework
  • Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills required to document and communicate findings and interact with leadership
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing log sources from security and networking devices such as firewalls, routers, proxy, anti-virus products, and operating systems
