Our Concord, CA offices has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager - Highways and Roads. This is a unique opportunity for a senior level individual to participate in helping our current clients and building new relationships through business development, working with Business Development Director.

Join our team of globally connected specialists to help solve complex transport challenges and experience groundbreaking projects from idea to delivery, and beyond.

Working with our transportation team, this position offers great variety of projects, and will see you involved in exciting and challenging work such as:

• Providing technical guidance, project delivery oversight and accountability on highway, roadway, and other engineering project projects
• Developing and managing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and quality plans
• Leading design projects, managing sub consultants, and coaching/mentoring junior staff
• Supporting business development on behalf of GHD
• When required participating in project interviews with potential/existing clients
• Leading a cohesive team to achieve project objectives
• Actively engaging in community/professional organizations

What you will bring to the team:

• Strong foundation across multiple software design platforms - experience with both AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation
• Experience and familiarity with Caltrans and knowledge of overall project delivery process (PID, PA&ED, R/W, PS&E, CON)
• Ability to expand and grow relationships/business in transportation and other sectors within the US West Region
• Ability to mentor staff in a multi-disciplinary team environment and share skills and knowledge with staff and peers
• Ability to support project/client proposals and participate in interviews
• Demonstrated professional judgement and commercial acumen, including identifying, assessing, evaluating and solving problems
• Robust written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely
• Demonstrated ability to direct and delegate work assignments to others
• Demonstrated portfolio of municipal infrastructure, transportation, drainage, & site development projects
• A self-starter with the ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Registered Civil Engineer in the State of California.
• 20+ years of experience with solid technical knowledge and skills across the transportation & municipal engineering, including a strong background in planning & design; construction experience a plus.

Salary Range - $141,000 - $211,000 based on experience.
