We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Senior Product Designer passionate about transforming healthcare and empowering people to live better lives, spanning diverse aspects of health and wellness. The ideal person for this role will have untamed curiosity and interest in bringing new experiences to life with modern design tools and novel solutions. This individual will work closely with product managers, product designers, UX researchers, content strategists, and strategists to uncover people's unmet needs, champion the end user and design meaningful experiences for a wide range of digital health products.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will be responsible for passionately championing targeted end-users for digital solutions following human-centered design principles, standards and systems for design, development, and strategic execution. This role works across various lifecycle stages, from discovery to continuous enhancement, as we integrate UX into the work of multi-disciplinary teams and a broad range of client engagements.

In addition to product design, this individual must be able to demonstrate professionalism, have great communication skills with internal and external audiences, reliably manage time and collaborate with a cross-functional team. You must be willing to work with a complex environment, thrive under ambiguity and demonstrate critical thinking under time pressure.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute discovery exploration activities that uncover what problem/s we are trying to solve for who and why.
  • Assists with analyzing research findings and provide insights into design needs based on target user goals, preferences, and needs
  • Recommend and defend UX & UI requirements based on research output, best-practices, project team feedback
  • Ability to translate objectives and requirements into visual representation to meet design needs.
  • Design user-centered interfaces that solve customer problems and support user needs amidst technical constraints
  • Create & deliver UX or UI form factors using the fidelity necessary to meet the objective. This may include diagrams, journeys, process flows, site architecture, interaction models, wireframes, high fidelity design, prototypes, design system and visual assets.
  • Ability to provide insight and context to design decisions and recommendations.
  • Ability to translate design requirements to larger project team such as product, research & development.
  • Collaborate closely with project team to support creation of UX or UI artifacts that can be reviewed, tested, and iterated quickly.
  • Develop and maintain large scale design systems
  • Ensure consistency across all design deliverables
  • Ability to review UX/UI thoughts, strategy, and artifacts with team members.
  • Facilitate the dialogue that drives to the best possible user experience and interaction.
  • Actively seek out feedback and synthesize for refinement.
  • Look for new ways to create value in processes, methods, and offerings.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Social Sciences (Anthropology, Psychology, or a related field), with demonstrated use of these skills to software.
  • Product industry background or digital healthcare research background is desired.

Required Skills
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in creating, developing, and executing UX Architecture and/or visual design to meet a wide range of objectives, including UX strategy, design systems, experience/interaction design, user research/assessment, rapid UI prototyping, and visual design.
  • Experience designing interactive experiences in the digital space, managing project and processes, and serving in a lead designer role is required.
  • Experience designing for healthcare and/or background in creating patient or provider experience strongly preferred.
  • Good presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written) including experience and level of comfort presenting to cross-functional audiences.
ZS is a global consulting firm. Fluency in English is required; additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
