Walmart Connect is key to Walmart's growth strategy. Walmart has built a ~$3 billion dollar closed loop, in-house advertising business that is a robust, true omnichannel, media services division with WMC. We partner closely with brands on strategies and solutions that harness Walmart's unparalleled omnichannel influence. We deliver relevant retail ads and experiences that connect our customers with the brands and products they love. And we use Walmart's proprietary online and in-store data, encompassing 95% of American households, to measure campaign-correlated sales on our site and in our stores.

Walmart Connect is seeking an experienced data science leader to drive best in class ads measurement methodology. Experienced in sales lift, synthetic control group, ghost ads, market mix model, multi-touch attribution models, etc

Location: Hoboken, NJ; San Bruno, CA; Los Angeles, CA

What you will be doing:

• Build/Lead/Manage a team to drive core advertising measurement methodologies such as incremental sales lift, ghost ads,
• Present various aspects of advertising industry measurement approaches and new trends to senior stakeholders
• Define product methodology requirements including direction, strategy, framework, roadmap and success criteria, accounting for advertiser needs & direct feedback, competitive offerings and our 1P and 3P measurement portfolio.
• Collaborate with ENG Data Science team to deep dive and validate the methodology and results
• Drive Alpha and Beta client testing on the measurement methodology
• Present measurement solutions and recommendations to different levels of senior clients. Explain complex modeling approaches in simple terms and develop compelling narratives that connect with business problems
• Perform hands-on modeling and complex analyses using Python and SQL
• Participate in goal setting, performance review, and performance management for team members.
• Participate in hiring and capacity management tasks.
• Continuously engage with senior leadership and stakeholders to ensure alignment and manage interdependencies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters Degree: Statistics, Data Science, Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics or related field
• Industry experience in advertising measurement solutions, advertising marketing analytics
• Experienced in sales lift, synthetic control group, ghost ads, market mix model, multi-touch attribution models, etc
• Experience with A/B and Multivariate test design and implementation
• 8+ years post academic professional experience in measurement, marketing data science & analytics
• 8+ years managing a team
• Strong communication skills to 'tell a story' that provides insight into the business
• Proficient coding skills (SQL/Python/R) and database knowledge

Manager's Preferred Qualifications

• PhD degree in Statistics, Data Science, Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field
• Strong project management skills, including managing technical resources and multiple priorities & milestones.
• Experience with advertising technology platforms Ad servers, DSPs, DMPs, etc
• Extensive experience with predictive modeling algorithms
• You have a passion for working in a fast-paced agile environment.
• A collaborative mindset and sense of curiosity
• Excellent technical chops and advanced programming skills with experience of creating Python modules

The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00-$264,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

- Stock equity incentives
