Position/Job Title: Senior IT Systems Solution Architect

Work Location: Fort Gordon, Georgia - U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence

Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems, LLC is looking for an applicant to fill the Senior IT Systems Solution Architect who is driven to assist clients by improving their computer software systems. In this role, your responsibilities will include working with a development team to deliver quality products and services and provide solutions to enhance your customers' businesses.

The candidate will listen to customers' feedback and implement strategies to finalize projects and understand how all parts of the business model work together in order to design a solution that best fits the environment.

The candidate will identify gaps that exist in clients' technology systems and formulate, modify, and integrate improved software and hardware applications, ensuring that it harmonizes with existing systems and ensure that the new solution meets industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Identify gaps or problems in clients' computer systems.
• Understand the way in which different parts of the business model work together, including operating systems and application architectures.
• Establish the client's business strategy and technical needs.
• Developing IT solutions to meet those needs.
• Determine the cost implications of various solution options.
• Develop plans to show how options will work and discussing these with the client in an understandable way.
• Work on the changeover from an existing system to a new one and ensuring that the improved version works with existing systems.
• Ensure that the new solution meets industry regulation specifications.
• Give technical advice to clients and maintaining ongoing relationships with them.
• Provide customer feedback in a timely manner to the production department to ensure that product development or modification meets the clients' needs.
• Other duties assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Education / Requirements

• Must have a minimum of five years' experience in data management, analytics and visualization
• Two years' experience/knowledge of DOD force modernization, capability development process, or requirements determination process are preferred but not required
• BA/BS in automated data management
• U.S. citizen

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.

Security Clearance

DoD active security clearance may be required at a high-level security. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
