Ultimate Staffing is working with a family-owned, international electronics fabrication organization with multiple locations in St. Clair County, IL to find a Senior Electronics Technician. Must have experience with component-level electronics debug and repair, component-level circuit analysis and fault diagnosis skills, and ability to operate electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, DVMs, power supplies, function generators, hipot testers, etc.

Schedule: Mon - Fri, Days

Compensation: $26-$28/hour

Job Summary:

The Senior Electronics Technician, reporting through the Engineering department, will collaborate with a team of skilled electronics technicians. The role primarily involves component-level analysis, debugging, and repair of electronic boards and assemblies. Responsibilities include conducting functional or parametric testing of circuit boards, identifying faults through visual inspection and schematic analysis, and performing component-level repairs using SMT or through-hole repair techniques. Additionally, the Senior Electronics Technician will contribute to process improvement initiatives within the production teams and assist the Engineering team in the design and fabrication of functional test equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct functional or parametric testing of electronic circuit boards and assemblies.

• Utilize schematic analysis and standard electronic test techniques to perform failure analysis and isolate faults to a component level.

• Perform component-level repair on assemblies using SMT and through-hole rework techniques.

• Support the Engineering staff in designing, fabricating, or validating new production test fixtures as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in component-level electronics debugging and repair.

• Proficient in component-level circuit analysis and fault diagnosis.

• Strong soldering skills.

• Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology, military electronics training, or equivalent education/experience.

• Ability to operate standard electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, DVMs, power supplies, function generators, and hipot testers.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
