Senior DevOps Engineeris responsible for deploying cloud services using Infrastructure as Code in AWS along with other systems engineers and third-party service providers, you will build a reliable, stable, and highly available cloud platform for Reece users.

The key requirement of this role is to onboard applications into AWS Cloud, person in this role needs to be a "generalist" with broad knowledge of operating systems, virtualization, containers, Kubernetes, networking, security and storage, have ability to onboard any given application with varying levels of complexity to cloud, architect or in many cases refactor products to follow cloud native patterns, speak well in front of a group of people, coach others in team and ability to act as a consultant with cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall day to day IT operations to improve infrastructure performance and end user satisfaction.
  • Provide production support and ensure system stability and performance.

  • Interface with business units to define infrastructure support initiatives and propose working solutions to improve service efficiency.
  • Responsible for designing, implementing cloud resources in partnership with near shore and offshore teams.
  • Building and setting up tools that manage Infrastructure provisioning, resource scalability, and perform capacity planning.
  • Develop monitoring dashboards and set up alerts to mitigate service outages and downtime.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting IT services to meet SLA's set by business.

  • Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
  • Working closely with other team members and manager for time allocation and prioritization.
  • Introduce processes, tools, methodologies for software development life cycle, from coding and deployment, to maintenance, support, and periodic updates or patching.

Skills

  • 10 years of cloud computing experience out of which at least 6 years as DevOps engineer, with hands on experience building AWS infrastructure.

  • 5 years of experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, SQS, ECS, EKS, CloudWatch, Lambda, SNS, Fargate etc.
  • 4 years of experience with database platforms like, Aurora DB, RDS, MySQL, Elasticsearch.
  • 3 years of experience implementing CI/CD Pipelines for automated deployments.
  • 3 years of experience deploying cloud services using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • 2 years for experience with containers and container orchestration e.g., Dockers and Kubernetes

  • Build and set up infrastructure automation using Jenkins.
  • Experience managing source code and repositories using GitHub.
  • Application performance monitoring using CloudWatch, Grafana, Logic Monitor
  • Insight into OKTA identity and access management and whitelisting domains.
  • Intermediate programming and scripting experience in a mainstream language such as Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • Experience with server administration and migrating on-prem applications to cloud.
  • Good understanding of Snowflake cloud-based storage and its integration with Boomi's api.
  • Good understanding of ITIL framework especially incident, change and release management
  • Experience designing:
  • cloud native applications

  • microservice architectures
  • highly available and resilient products
  • Ability to provide coaching and helping teams transitioning to scaled agile framework and become better self-managed team using Jira boards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, sense of ownership and the ability to work with a limited set of requirements.
  • Ability to explain cloud solutions to technical and non-technical teams.

  • Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work, both personally and at a team level.
