The Opportunity
• Develop industry leading visualization-focused deliverables via a collection of business intelligence, user experience, and web development tools
• Follow Agile-based delivery and Scrum principles when doing dashboard development
• Promote visual analytics internally and externally to create awareness of our offering and to educate on the possibilities of incorporating visualization to aid in solving business challenges
• Build business intelligence deliverables with visualization vendors such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik
• Contributes to business development initiatives including collateral and proposal creation
• Establishes, refines, and implements a vision and strategy for disseminated performance metrics & analytics across the organization.
• Performs analysis of existing data sources and reports within the electronic medical record, EDW, Data Lake, and other internal and external data sources available to provide suggestions on strategy and tactical matters based on knowledge of available data and reports
• Identify and implement improvements in analytics and data delivery to MGB staff by leveraging knowledge of business intelligence, data warehousing and healthcare analytics.
• Manage the implementation of a multi-year project to roll out Tableau dashboards to staff at all levels, including provider/surgeon performance dashboards to drive improvement in transparency, cost, and quality for Mass General Brigham as a whole
• Ensure comprehensive quality assurance, and adequate documentation of programs, applications, and operational procedures as part of a project rollout
• Work with new and existing Enterprise Business Intelligence developers to share knowledge in methods of data analysis, summarization, and presentation. Trains other analysts and end-users on key analytic and reporting systems and databases

Qualifications
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in business, IT, healthcare, or related experience required
• 5+ years IT or Data Analytics experience
• 5+ years working with Tableau or comparable platform as a BI Developer
• Demonstrated experience in large cloud computing and data warehousing environments with database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc.)
• Literacy in fundamental client-side web development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Healthcare experience preferred, preferably in a provider organization
• Strong knowledge of SQL preferred
• Knowledge of data warehousing methodologies preferred
Skills for Success
• Familiarity with data preparation techniques and tools such as Alteryx and Tableau Prep
• High degree of design literacy, comfortable prototyping with Sketch or Adobe XD
• Understanding of change management techniques, and the ability to apply them
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving and negotiation skills
• Strong collaboration skills, with both business and technical teams
• Attention to detail, able to set priorities and focus on delivering against deadlines
• Ability to effectively conduct meetings, both formal and informal
• Requires minimal direction from leadership
Hybrid working model requires onsite weekly at Assembly Row, Somerville
