Role Description

Supports the execution of the monthly international and domestic close process, including general accounting functions, preparation of monthly financial statements, topside journal entries and account analysis. Responsible for the execution of all intercompany eliminations and top-side journal entries as part of consolidation.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform consolidations and process eliminating journal entries.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly/quarterly financial statements and related disclosures.
  • Prepare monthly Financial Package distributed to senior management.
  • Process various non-recurring topside journal entries and other consolidation journal entries (i.e. investment in equity elimination, share based comp, etc.) in support of the monthly financial close.
  • Preparation of various monthly/quarterly account analysis and roll forwards.
  • Preparation of various footnotes and other SEC disclosures.
  • Assist in preparation and analysis of consolidated quarterly balance sheet fluctuation package
  • Assist with documentation and testing of SOX controls.
  • Provide support for ad hoc management requests from markets, finance, tax and treasury.
  • Work with ZTD team to develop/update Hyperion Financial Reports.
  • Effectively use Hyperion suite of solutions (HFM and Essbase).

Qualifications (Training, Education & Prior Experience):

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred

Experience
  • Minimum 4 years experience in consolidations/financial reporting (internal or external) within a large multi-national company or public accounting (Big 4 preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and financial systems/processes and controls
  • Demonstrated proficiency in US GAAP and SEC reporting
  • Experience with FDM, HFM, Essbase
  • SAP experience a plus

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in order to engage with business partners effectively. Able to clearly communicate complex financial and process-related information to key stakeholders (including executive level). Communications skills include the ability to listen to, and appreciate stakeholder concerns and understand issues.
  • Exhibits initiative, decisiveness and the ability to manage multiple complex tasks towards completion at the same time.
  • Exhibits a strong team orientation, engaging with others in the completion of work during peak periods through process improvements or development of new processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with external auditors.
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
