Overview

JOB SUMMARY: Lead Accounting and Operational Analysis.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

1. Lead General Ledger accounting reconciliation/analysis as required
2. Produce month-end closing schedules
3. Create journal entries to support activity for G/L based on GAAP
4. Create analysis as requested
5. Lead and provide operational analysis of Manufacturing Activity
6. Evaluate product cost and margin analysis
7. Quantify financial impact of operational activity, (overtime, utilization, rework, etc.)
8. Support Continuous Improvement initiatives
9. Provide Internal Control over Inventory, Job and expense transactions
10. Review for proper costing of General Ledger transactions
11. Support continuous improvement initiatives
12. Review and suggest corrective action for transactional processes
13. Provide support as assigned for Finance processing of transactions related to Purchase Requests, Capital Asset Acquisitions, Customer Billing, Revenue Recognition and Accounts Payable.

SECONDARY DUTIES:

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM

1. BA/BS undergraduate degree in accounting/finance or equivalent experience
2. Minimum five (5) years accounting, auditing or financial analysis experience
3. Proficient with Excel, comfortable with mainframe accounting systems
4. Must have working knowledge of accounting documentation (GAAP Standards)
5. Must read, write, speak and understand the English language
6. Individual should be a self-starter requiring minimum supervision

PREFERRED:

Previous Accounting Leadership experience in a Manufacturing environment
