Material Development and Industrialization Engineer

The mission of the Material Development and Industrialization Engineer is to create material designs meeting defined targets and specifications via use of formulation strategy, various material technology, and processing levers. This role is also responsible for assuring industrialization of these materials though treatment of identified product and process risks and cross-functioning with industrialization specialist at various industrial locations.

KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

• Builds and implements material studies enabling target properties to be met.

• Summarizes and transmits his/her results to professional peers and internal partners; assures that key knowledge is maintained for this discipline.

• Creates patent analyses and applications.

• Provides the quantified list of resources necessary to run studies and their positioning in time.

• For material projects, leads project teams, conducts risk analysis and associated action plans, leads quality planning, and presents to steering Committees as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Material Science, or equivalent technical experience.

• Prior experience in material processing or application industry is a plus.

• Prior experience with polymer-based systems and/or filler reinforced materials is a plus.
