About the Enrollment Division

The Enrollment Division at the University of Denver (DU), which consists of Undergraduate Admission, International Student Admission and Financial Aid, works to attract, enroll and cultivate an optimal mix of vibrant and intellectually motivated students who will enrich the composition of our learning community and go on to lead lives of meaning and purpose. Position Summary

Fully remote, part time position available for those interested in evaluating applications for undergraduate admission as a member of the Seasonal Reader Team. Team members will review applications and render admission decisions that align with the University's enrollment goals and students' potential for success. Candidates will commit to 15-20 hours per week, including paid training in September.

This position has a limited term that ends in March 2023.

Essential Functions

• Evaluate applications for undergraduate admission as a member of the Seasonal Reader team; recommend admission decisions
• Use provided resources to make admission decisions that align with the University's enrollment goals and students' potential for success
• Evaluate high school transcripts, profile, educational coursework, and standardized test scores
• Review recommendation letters
• Review essays to evaluate lived experiences and other provided information
• Evaluate extracurricular activities, leadership skills, and work experiences
• Communicate optimally with admission staff regarding applicants as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to apply critical thinking
• Use of professional judgement to determine applicant's skills and fit within the University
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with technology
• Ability to maintain consistent consideration for each student

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience reading college applications

Work Schedule:
Part-time, 15-20 hours per week, days and times vary.

Hourly Range:
The hourly range for the position is $17.00-$20.00.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate's sex or any other protected status.
