About this opportunity:

Cenovus Energy is looking for an SCM US Downstream Operations Analyst reporting to the SCM Manager of Procurement Operations located at our Lima, OH refinery. This individual will perform the administrative duties needed for the Supply Chain Management department (SCM), entering data, following up with other sister teams, coordinating with the corporate SCM team, and keeping excellent documentation. In addition, this individual contributor may potentially learn other responsibilities, including sourcing, meeting with suppliers and contractors, and assisting other procurement team members.

What you'll do:

  • Perform administrative duties.
  • Partner with other teams on site, corporate SCM, and SCM at other refineries to support their procurement needs.
  • Coordinate work at Lima Refinery Company (LRC).
  • Work with other Procurement teams and sites, to work on common goals. May travel occasionally to other sites and out of the country.
  • Combine local focus, mostly at the LRC, but will provide efforts with other sites, to identify commonalities, cost reductions and improve efficiencies.
  • Complete the vendor setup process, call out challenges, connect with other teams, and document the steps in the process.
  • Develop an understanding of SCM roles and responsibilities, including contracts, cost savings, risk, follow-up, establishing processes, being an individual contributor, and working well with the internal teams.
  • Several people will lean on this person daily for assistance.
Who you are:
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the USA.
  • Relevant work experience (in lieu of work experience will consider internships and cooperative education experience)
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Supply Chain experience
  • Experience with Data Entry, administrative, supply chain, or vendor management
