Job Description

Sample Management Scientist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Oversee material receipt and inventory management activities to ensure accurate tracking and organization of all incoming materials.
  • Conduct aseptic aliquoting of samples from source bulk, adhering to strict protocols to maintain sample integrity.
  • Facilitate the timely submission of samples to testing laboratories, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Utilize Good Documentation Practices to meticulously generate and review documentation throughout the storage and submission process, maintaining thorough records of all activities.
  • Employ data integrity principles to populate and maintain databases supporting inventory management and sample submission, ensuring accuracy and reliability of information.
  • Experience working in dynamic environments where flexibility is essential.
  • Foster a customer service attitude within and among laboratory personnel.

Qualifications

  • Possess a strong sense of responsibility, along with organizational prowess and adaptability to diverse office tasks. Ability to work autonomously and effectively without direct supervision.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, scientific methodologies, and organizational techniques.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate the capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team, driven by self-motivation, flexibility, and a positive outlook.
  • Aptitude for learning new techniques, managing multiple tasks simultaneously, maintaining precise records, adhering to instructions, and upholding company policies.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous, showcasing technical prowess, diagnostic abilities, and adept troubleshooting skills.
  • Exhibit a strong emphasis on attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, while effectively managing time and adhering to written procedures and instructions.
  • Display self-motivation, adaptability, and the capability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
  • Previous exposure to LIMS data systems and familiarity with GMP/GLP regulations is preferred.
Basic Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or other related degree concentration
  • 1-2 years of Sample Data Management experience
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance ofWest Point, PAare encouraged to apply.
