Essential Functions • Meet or exceed the assigned targets.
• Provide domain expertise in the Transmission & Distribution and Access Industry while working cohesively with peers focused in:
• Transmission & Distribution and Access Industry
• Oil & Gas Industry
• Pipeline Industry
• Construction Industry
• Be the domain expert in at least the areas listed above for customer needs, competition, industry trends, and have the ability to effectively articulate the value propositions in a compelling fashion.
• Work with regional sales and operations to acquire new customers.
• Support the development process from strategy, thru solution development, proposal generation, contract preparation/negotiations, and transition to operations.
• Align with regional sales, product sales, and business leaderships to define pricing and other opportunity specific strategies.
• Participate in marketing events such as trade shows, regional roadshows, Industry Councils or Associations.
• Account Manager will maintain a close working relationship with customers, direct sales, regional sales managers, regional operations managers, project managers, and marketing team
• Ensure compliance with Corporate Policies and Procedures
• Attend to all customer issues to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction
• Detail- and process-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Past experience in a field sales level is beneficial
• "Head hunter" mentality - comfortable with cold calls
• Relationship driven - ability to maintain, grow and target contacts
• Business acumen (running projects) and previous site management experience is beneficial
• Temperament to pursue customers
• Self-starter
Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or educational equivalent. 5 years sales experience. Broad technical knowledge of company's products and services and customer requirements. Excellent communication skills. Good negotiating skills. Position Summary Sells products and services to existing or new customers in the field. Maintains a mix of large and small accounts.
