Job Description

Position Summary

The primary responsibility of the Drug Channel Sales Analyst is to work in collaboration with sales, supply chain and Trade Marketing to identify and optimize sales growth opportunities at Walgreens and CVS. This position will lead the effort to review and translate retail and shopper data (internal, customer POS, & syndicated) into actionable strategy and tactics. This position will also leverage insights to focus on improving product assortment, placement, and promotions, as well as assist in the forecasting and Joint Business Planning process with Walmart

Essential Functions

  • Effectively analyze and communicate results along with providing recommended "action steps" to achieve and improve profit, volume and share growth.
    • Monitor sales, diagnose trends, and identify business opportunities based on findings from specific business data (POS, etc.)
    • Monitor Orders, Fill Rates and Inventory Pipeline to ensure all items are in-store and inventory is being ordered as necessary
    • Review with sales team / account to ensure key sales initiatives are achieved and business opportunities identified
    • Analyze account and market trends, to provide competitive intelligence and impact on the market.
  • Analyze data to generate effective pre-promotion forecasting and planning, and post-promotion analysis to measure promotion effectiveness.
  • Weekly / Monthly Reporting (POS, Fill Rate) Provide all requested information in an accurate timely manner.
  • Joint Business Planning - work with Sales Associate Director to provide data needed to manage key relationships at CVS/Walgreens
  • Forecasting - work with Drug Channel team + Demand planning to build best-in-class forecasting templates and tracking
  • Trade Budget Tracking- track details of Trade Budget, customer collections and manage chargeback reconciliation
  • Collaborate with Drug Channel Team to optimize Retailer Specific Digital Marketing Strategies

Presentations
  • Provide accurate sales data and insights to account manager for Line Reviews, Joint Business Planning meetings, internal Account Plan Meetings, and other customer meetings.
  • Assist in developing presentations that garner account's full support of promotional and new item offerings.

Minimum Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Three Years (3) or more years of overall consumer packaged goods experience, demonstrating skillful approach to navigating data and building best-in-class analysis and solution based reporting
  • Strong analytical ability, must be able to provide recommended "solutions" or action plans as a result of data analysis
  • Attention to detail, and organizational/ time management skills
  • Proven ability to analyze and manage multiple categories and priorities
  • Experience analyzing data for a multi-store chain. Ideally, knowledge of Walmart customer, Retail Link
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude for problem solving.
  • Advanced in the following systems: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work with data from multiple sources, interpret the data and turn into actionable conclusions
  • Desire to work in a fast moving, fun, engaging and dynamic team environment
  • Goal orientated and results driven
  • Solid understanding of financials including P&L impact of sales decisions
  • Ability to travel
