Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel - Jackson is seeking a Roll Mill Shift Electrician who will promote Safety as our #1 value, ensure consistency and reliability in Mill operations. The role of the Roll Mill Shift Electrician includes but is not limited to, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, improving mill reliability, repairing electrical and electronic equipment, and any other assigned duties in the Roll Mill. The Roll Mill Shift Electrician must also promote safety for themselves and their teammates.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
5 Years industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC's and AC&DC Drives
- Experience with ABB AC & DC Drives
- HMI Programming experience (Wonderware)
- Medium Voltage experience, and overhead crane maintenance
- Experience with Hydraulics and Pneumatics
- Experience with function block programming language
- Experience with Controlnet interface
- Associates degree in electronics technology or similar program
- Familiarity with NFPA70e Electrical Safety
