We seek an excellent post-doctoral associate to conduct research exploring plant-microbiome mediators of plant stress resilience. Strong quantitative skills and experience with bioinformatic and statistical analyses of microbial communities is expected. The successful applicant will independent, motivated, and able to work as part of a collaborative team. They will have proven skills in microbiology and molecular laboratory techniques, as well as strong writing and communication skills. Experience in conducting greenhouse or field experiments is desired. A familiarity with ecological and evolutionary theories will be viewed favorably. Applicants should hold a PhD in a field related to plant, soil, microbial sciences, ecology, or bioinformatics/genomics.

The position is for one year with a possibility of renewal. The postdoc will be part of the Plant Resilience Institute (https://plantresilience.msu.edu/) at MSU. The successful applicant will conduct research as part of the PRI's interdisciplinary effort and will have the opportunity to interact with a wide range of researchers in ecology and evolution, microbiology, and plant and soil sciences.
