Duties include but are not limited to:

1. Operating and cleaning each machine or process in an efficient manner.

Maintaining quality product and proper packaging off each of the machines.

3. Keeping the work area clean and tidy.

4. Maintaining good codes on all finished product.

5. Keeping accurate production records wherever necessary.

Working closely with the other operators in an effort to ensure maximum efficiency on the production line. Good attendance is a requirement to obtain and retain this position. Ability to do changeovers, perform CIP, make adjustments and minor repairs on the production line whenever applicable or necessary. Maintain quality and operating efficiency with regards to job. Follow all safety Follow all GMP's Any other duties assigned by supervision.

Must possess a strong work ethic and passion for the job.

Ability to multi-task and follow instructions.

Must be self-motivated and self-directed to support complex operations.

Critical thinking and ability to analyze data and situations is a must. This involves being detail oriented with strong emphasis on accuracy and organization.

Physical Demands

Ability to work in manufacturing environment which includes but not limited to: noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humidity), standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around manufacturing equipment consistently throughout the shift.

Working with chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment and following approved chemical handling procedures.

Physical lifting up to 50-lbs frequently throughout the shift.

Shift flexibility. This is a hands-on role for a 24/7 manufacturing facility. Our equipment operators are assigned to a team on a 3-shift, 24/7 operation to support manufacturing. This can either be days, swing or night shift and also includes working weekends. Work days and shifts may change to help cover vacations/absences, during plant downtime or related events such as audits.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and arms to reach (various types of reaching such as extend out and overhead), grasp, push, pull and handle parts and or material. The employee is required to stand and frequently is required to walk, climb, sit, talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or smell.

Position Responsibilities

Safe and efficient operation of production equipment, which may include: packaging equipment, conveying equipment, lift truck operation and filling equipment. Position titles are included in the classification list in the CBA, Schedule "A".

Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP's) in detail without deviation.

Set-up packaging coders, validate product codes in accordance with code specifications.

Identify and effectively communicate any out-of-specification product conditions. Follow the established notification protocol.

Perform routine equipment adjustments.

Accurately and neatly complete production records and documents.

Assist with equipment change-overs, CIP/SIP, clean-up and equipment set-up.

Product pasteurization in accordance with State and Federal regulations.

Perform department environmental controls.

Perform product reclaim and rework operations.

Support internal and external audits.

Follow all established occupational health and safety procedures.

Follow all established GMP's and Food Safety requirements.

Cross-train with other departments.

Perform good housekeeping within established housekeeping guidelines.

Adhere to the Saputo Code of Ethics, actively apply the Saputo Company Values and Workplace Climate Policy.

Work together with co-workers and other department personnel.

Other duties as required by management.

SUMMARY- Primary responsibilities is to work in a production work environment. Operates continuous flow or product in a dairy process plant to include; milk, cream, cottage cheese & sour cream following specified methods and formulas. High responsibility - responsible for quality, food safety and product specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. LANGUAGE SKILLS-Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to communicate across shifts and with others. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings such as training or assisting co-workers.

SAFETY-The use of safety equipment such as hearing protection and footwear is provided. Face shield, aprons and /or gloves will be provided. Employees are expected to adhere to all safety procedures and follow equipment guidelines.

SKILLS-Strong communication skills and able to manage multiple priorities. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Must be able to read and interpret documents. Good mathematical skills, conscientious, attentive and strong observational skills.
